Comments:
Hello. My name is Katey Kohler and this is my sixth year in Lassen Colony 4-H and my third year in the goat project. I am 15 years old and I will be in the 10th grade this fall. I am home schooled and attend Shasta College. Once I graduate, I plan on becoming a Psychologist. I enjoy photography, riding ATVs, dancing at Selah Dance Academy, and swimming. In January, I purchased a black headed whether from Bob May. My goats name is Alexander. He is a Boer and his ear tag number is 272. Besides showing Alexander, I am also participating in Horse, Canning, and Foods and Nutrition. Through the Goat Project I learned about how kids and adult does rumens differ, proper feeding methods for show goats, scrapies, worked on improving my showmanship, and learned how to fit a leg for showing goats. I enjoyed working with my goat and would like to do one again next year. I am saving the proceeds from my goat in my college fund.
