Hi, my name is Lane Zumalt and Im a member of the Los Molinos 4-H Club. I have been in the los Molinos 4-H Club for 7 years and I have been the treasurer for 4 years. This is my 5th year taking a market hog. I would like to tell you a little bit about my hog Benelli , she sweet and loveable. She loves to play with my brother and I oh and dont forget her other friends are dogs lol. She loves to go on long walks down the road. She enjoys her baths every day too. My favorite thing with Benelli is she just loves my attention. This year we have a lot of ups and downs. I wanted a challenge so I picked a bigger pig. well I learned a lot about feeding a heavy pig, how to hold but not hold to much. pigs you cant hold back for long or it could stunt the growth of the pig. I weighted out her feed morning and night and I had to weigh her weekly to make sure she was not getting to big for fair. But I would not change anything because I learned a lot from her this year.
