Hi, my name is Aubree Fox; I am a 7th grader at Kirkwood Elementary and a member of Corning 4-H, in my 8th year. This is my fourth year raising market hogs and taking them to the Tehama Junior Livestock Auction. My hog this year is cross bread barrow named B.O.B., aka Big O Boy. He has been such a fun animal to have around, teaching me new things about pigs that I didnt know. I also have a back-up cross bread barrow, named Waddles. I feed, water, and walk my pigs twice a day; plus bathing the pigs and cleaning stalls. I practice showmanship once a day for about 20 minutes. Having a market swine project has taught me responsibility, time management, and confidence. I enjoy having my pigs every year and look forward to the next year.
