My name is Katie Thomas. This is my second year showing a lamb at the Tehama District Fair. My lamb, Jughead, is a Suffolk Hampshire cross, weighing 155 pounds. I got Jughead in January and started him out on Lamb Slam and a fourth of flake of alfalfa hay. For the last two months, Ive added Rule Supplements Shredder and Formula to his feeding. Ive walked Jughead and my breeding ewe Veronica, ran them up hills and had them jump over a dry creek bed for exercise. I also worked with getting him up on the stand and carding his legs. Jughead likes to hang out with my horse and kick my dog and chickens. His favorite snack is eucalyptus leaves. This is my second year as a Westside 4-H member and Im one of two club historians. Im a 5th grader at Lava Charter School and love to play soccer, ride my horse, help gather cows and read.
