Comments:
Hello, my name is Amy Stroing and I am a Junior at Red Bluff High School. I have been an active member in the Red Bluff FFA Chapter for three years and I am currently the chapter secretary. Before high school I was an active member in the El Camino 4-H Club for six years. This is my eighth year taking a market steer to the county fair. This year I have a charolais composite market steer, named Yeti. Yeti is a bigger framed steer and he currently weighs 1380 pounds. I have been raising Yeti for eight months. I feed Yeti twice a day a high protein feed to develop muscle, along with plenty of hay and fresh water. I also walk him daily to help develop muscle. I am committed to every steer I raise and my goal is raise quality meat for my buyer. This year I was in the top three of the state for my Beef Entrepreneurship Proficiency Project in FFA. After high school, I plan to attend college and major in animal science. I raise market steers because it allows me to make and save money so that I can attend college.
