Lot # 257 - Tag 139 - Devin Kerr
Comments:
Hi my name is Devin Kerr and I am a seventh grader at Reed Creek School. This is my 2nd year exhibiting a market steer and fifth year participating in 4-H. This year I have a Hereford steer named Boomer that I think is pretty nice. I got Boomer as a weaned calf from Central Oregon in October. He weighed about 600 pounds when I got him and now, he is over 1200 pounds. He has been a great eater and good gainer, averaging over 3 pounds of gain a day. Besides working with my steer, this year in 4-H I volunteered in several different actives that benefited my community. My favorite volunteer activity was 4-H fun night, and I helped serve food at it. Other hobbies that I like to do are participating in Junior High School rodeo, barrel racing, and working on the ranch. This was my second year in Junior High School rodeo and I ended up qualifying for state in team roping and breakaway roping. I compete in team roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing and pole bending. Working on the ranch this year has been really fun, with school getting shut down I have had more time to help with weaning and gathering and stuff and riding my horse. I you would like to learn more about my market steer Boomer please give me a call at 541-219-2191.
