Hi, my name is Jaden Neugebauer and Im 13 years old and in the 8th grade at Lake Elementary School. This is my 5th year showing show pigs in the Plaza 4-H and this was going to be my 4th year showing at the Glenn County Fair. I not only have my crossbred barrow for the Glenn Show, but I also have 2 barrows and 2 gilts for the California State Fair, that was also recently canceled. I feel very lucky that my family business 3JNeuges breeds and raises show pigs. Our hog farm has enabled me to learn such things as vaccinate, farrow, and process litters. Im a member of the NJSA or National Junior Swine Association. I enjoy spending 30 min in the morning and again at night feeding walking and washing my hogs. Some of my greatest accomplishments while doing show pigs were Champion Duroc at the Arizona National and 1st in class and 6th overall cross gilt at The World Pork Expo in Iowa. Raising pigs has made me a more responsible person. Although I enjoy baseball and eating moms great meals, my pigs must get taken care of first.
