My name is Chelsea Weinrich and I am a sophomore at Willows High School. In my first two years of high school, I have been involved with ASB, FFA, and basketball. I have been showing pigs since I was nine years old, but I have been involved with the swine industry since I was five and my older sisters started showing. This year, I raised two pigs, Combs and Swindell, in hopes to compete in the 2020 Glenn County Fair, but even though the fair was cancelled, I am still grateful for this opportunity given to me, along with other youth in Glenn County through the Glenn Ag Expo. My pigs and I have put countless hours into preparation for the fair, as we walk for at least 20 minutes a day. Along with walking, my pigs also get bathed, conditioned, and fed each day. Even though I am only a sophomore and I will have other opportunities to show, this fair was my last one with my sisters by my side and I was truly saddened to hear that the fair got cancelled because I knew we were going to make the best memories! I would like to thank the members of the Glenn Ag Expo for putting in such hard work to make this event possible for all of us!
