Hi, my name is Isabella Brownell Beckett. I am fourteen, a 6th generation Orland rancher and I'm in Core Butte FFA. This is my fourth year raising and selling hogs for the Glenn County fair, yet, this is my first year in FFA. I have a Yorkshire gilt named Mudpie I will be selling this year at the Glenn Ag Expo.Covid-19 has affected everybody, whether the effects are from the disease or the people around them. Covid-19 forced the fair to shut down causing a lot of unknowns for 4-H and FFA members. After lots of problem-solving, the Glenn Ag Expo became the new auction for the fair animals. There are a lot of people putting in a lot of effort for this to finally work out. I have many thoughts and opinions on the matter but, in the end, I am glad that we are finally able to sell this year. I am asking for your support and consider purchasing my pig at the Glenn Ag Expo May 15-16th. The Glenn Ag Expo will be hosting an online auction. Unlike the fair auction, the animals will sell as an individual, not by the pound.
