Hello my name is Vennus Garcia. I am in 8th grade and I'm 13 years old. I am a part of Willows 4-H. This is my 5th year in Willows 4-H. This is my 5th year doing a market goat. My goat's name is Monkey. I have put a lot of time on my goat. Mostly everything I earn goes to my college funds. I chose the market goat because I felt like it challenged me. The reason I keep doing goats is because I want to learn how to do everything properly, before even thinking about trying another animal. If I were to try another animal I would try a pig. I am very glad I chose goats because they are very fun to be around. I like being involved in activities such as 4-H, basketball, volleyball, and cheer. I like staying active and my goat really pushed me to doing just that. I also enjoy painting, reading, and writing. I liking writing because I like working on my penmanship. I am really enjoying 4-H and all the activities it has. This year I am doing art and crafts, as well as archery. My favorite part about doing a market animal is choosing your animal because you get to meat your animal. I also enjoy the outcome at the end of the year where you get to look back and see all the progress your market animal has made. I am very excited to keep going in this program!
