My name is Colby Stoltenberg. I'm in 8th grade at Lake School. This is my 7th year in Lake 4-H and my 6th year in the beef barn. Im 14 years old and Id love to sell you a prime, quality steer. This year I am showing 2 steers online on the Glenn Ag Expo. I have been working hard for the last eight months feeding them (with Artois Feed of course), washing, and walking my steers. My steers are commercial cattle from the Stoltenberg ranch outside of Willows. I was very disappointed when I first learned that the Glenn County Fair was cancelled, but I am excited about participating in the Glenn Ag Expo with my steers instead. This Spring I earned a spot representing Glenn and Colusa County as one of the 2020 Glenn-Colusa Cattlewomens Junior Beef Ambassadors. Through this contest, I am learning more about promoting the facts about the beef industry, and how to positively represent livestock and agriculture. I would like to continue my education in the cattle industry, and will be putting my profits from my steer into my college fund.This year I have two steers that have been both good looking and easy to work with all year round. As I only get to sell one, I believe he will be a great representation of my hard work, and a quality grain fed steer.
