Hi, my name is Case Porter and this is my 2nd year in Capay 4-H. I am 12 years old and I am raising a steer and his name is Ruger. Even though the steer is way bigger than me, I work with him to make him easier to show. Raising a steer to sell at the fair is a big responsibility, It also takes a lot of time to take care for and feed him. I have gotten my past steers from Jon and Kay Helgren; they are very nice people to work with. I enjoy 4-H because of the fair and the rush of energy when you are going to show your animal.
