My name is Katie Junge. This is my 2nd year bringing a pen of 3 rabbits to the junior livestock auction. My sister Jolene and I raise Mini-Rex and Californians in our rabbitry, JK Hoppers. This year we both bred our own does for our market meat pen.The breeding went well! My doe had 9 babies! My pen of 3 has been jumping boards and reaching high for hay so that their loins and hindquarters are well muscled and firm. My rabbits tattoos, BLT stands for Bunny, Lettuce & Tomato!I am hopeful that my meat pen will place better than last year, as my meat pen is out of my champion buck and champion doe. Attendance at rabbit shows with both of them this past fall was very rewarding. I have to thank my sister for letting me have breeding stock out of her Californians.
