Hi, my name is Parker Somerville. I will be a senior with the start of the school year at Lassen High School. This is my third year showing a market steer in Susanville FFA. I have five years of experience prior to being in FFA when I was active in 4-H. I am showing a market steer named Bud he currently weighs 1250 pounds. My plans after high school are to attend Butte College and to be a certified welder. I have been taking college classes to work on getting my general education for my AS degree only to finish welding certification once I transfer. I am currently taking a math class at College of The Redwoods and I am doing great in that class. I have been a member of the FFA Agriculture Mechanics team and the LHS basketball and baseball teams for the past three years. I have been playing basketball since I was nine years old and playing baseball since I was six years old. I also have a job in Milford being a ranch hand which consists of running equipment, setting up electric fence, working cattle, trapping gophers, taking care of the horses, and his ranch. The things I like to do in my spare time is to help around our ranch and do what needs to be done. I also like to hunt, fish, go camping and shoot guns.
