Hi, my name is Grant Mallery and I just completed my sophomore year at Lassen High School. This is my 7th year in 4-H and my 2nd year in Susanville FFA. I show lambs in 4-H and steers in FFA. This year, due to covid 19, I decided to drop my lamb out of the virtual show and only do my steers. My steers are named Hairy and Melvin. My steer named Hairy is short and a bit thick, he weighed 1135 lbs. Hairy also likes to lick you when you are filling the grain bin. My other steer is named Melvin and he is much different, he is tall and thick and really likes to eat. Melvin is a home-grown steer out of our herd and he weighs 1375lbs, obviously he hasnt missed many meals. I also like to help around the ranch when it comes to cutting hay, raking hay and baling hay. My favorite thing to do is go truck driving with my dad. The places you go and the people you meet.
