Hello, my name is Morgan Rausch. I am 17 years old this is my third year in Susanville FFA my first year taking a steer. I enjoy playing football, wrestling, and fishing. I decided to try a steer this year just to do something different and challenge myself. I started with two steers to see which one gained better and had the best confirmation tag both of them to go to Fair and decided on entry day that I would just take the one. Hes a purebred Black Angus. We picked him up in November and I have been feeding him grain and hay daily for the past 8 months. While taking two steers was almost too much of a challenge for me I did have help from my parents. Learning how to work with the steer, parts of a steer etc. I feel that I have brought forward a great product in this steer. I havent quite decided yet what my future holds but I have one more year to figure it out I am considering going into the military or going to a trade school. Whatever I do with my future it has to be something that I love to do. I want to thank the fair board and everyone who has came up with a solution for this years issues. Thank you to the buyers and everyone who volunteers their time to make our Fair successful!
