Lot # 41 - Tag 157 - Willow Jensen
Comments:
Hi my name is Willow Jensen, I am 17 and a fourth year member of FFA. I've loved all my time in FFA and have gained a lot of experience that I can use in the future. I've always wanted to raise a fair animal since I was little, that's why I was excited when my family moved to Lassen County in 8th grade and I started raising pigs the next year. I knew nothing about raising pigs when I was starting, but my FFA supervisors understood and showed me the ropes. They've helped me through any difficulties I've had with my animals. My pigs have gotten top ten in quality for the Carcass Evaluation every year, and I placed 1st last year. I take pride in my top quality product. I have heard very good things from the buyers of my pigs over the years.I enjoy working with my pigs and find it fascinating how each of their personalities are unique and I get to know each of their likes and dislikes. Despite the different circumstances, being stuck at home has opened up more time for me to spend and work with my pig that I otherwise would not have because of school. Now that I am out of High School, I will be pursuing a paraprofessional certification and study Child Development at Lassen Community College. Even though I am not going into an agricultural career, I will carry with me the knowledge and ethics that FFA teaches their students.
