Hello, my name is Dylan Ziesing and I am a member of the Susanville FFA. This is my third year with FFA. It is my second year showing swine at the Lassen County Fair. I am bringing a barrow to fair this year named Mr. Blue. He is a York/Hamp cross. Mr. Blue is very vocal and always seems to be looking for food. He has a great disposition and enjoys walking with his pen mate Georgia. He is quite friendly and overall has a wonderful personality. Mr. Blue currently weighs 274 pounds. I have walked, fed, and cared for him since his birth to ensure he is market ready. Mr. Blue was bred by our family here in Susanville and born on January 1st, 2020. He was born from our sow that was bred to Wedding Night from Ottenwalter. I have been part of everything from his birth, castration, ear notching, and daily care since day 1. This has been a great experience. Mr. Blue is part of a litter of 11 and many of his litter mates can be seen at fair too. When I am not helping with our family farm, I enjoy being outside. I like swimming, kayaking, playing with our dogs, and exploring on our side by side. I will be a Junior at Lassen High School in the fall. I am excited to go back to school and see my friends. Friends and family are important to me!
