Hi, my name is Jaiden Mahenski, I'm 14 years old. I have a Hampshire/Cross pig named Mr. Wiggles. Mr. Wiggles currently weighs 252 lbs, and is gaining about one pound a day. His ear tag number is 84. I've had my pig for 4 months and have worked with him every day in rain, snow, or sun.This is my 7th year in the Lassen County 4-H Hoofbeats and my second year showing a market swine at the Lassen County Fair. Raising swine has become a passion of mine. Last year after I sold my swine I saved the money I earned to pay back all the expenses of that swine. The money I had left over was used to purchase this years swine so that I could be as self-sufficient as possible with this journey.When I'm not working with Mr. Wiggles, my swine, I'm working with my gymkhana horse Sandy. I compete in 4-H horse shows and various rodeos. I have put many hours of dedication into my accomplishments in all my extra-curricular activities. I am currently on the UC Davis 4-H Youth Board for my first time this year, and I compete in 4-H Horse Judging. In my down time I like spending time with my horse, my family and my friends.
