Lot # 64 - Tag 680 - FFA Reserve Champion - Ethan Shaw
Comments:
COVID-19 the global pandemic of 2020 has changed the way we go about our daily lives including this years county fair. Due to COVID-19 and the cancellation of our fair, our show and auction this year is online. It has taken a lot of time to get prepared and the fair office, the junior livestock committee, and my FFA advisors have taken a ton of time to make sure it runs smooth so thank you to them for all their help. My name is Ethan Shaw, I am 15 years old, and this is my first year showing lambs as part of Susanville FFA. Previously, I showed market lambs for 4 years in 4-H. This year I have one lamb to show and sell. His name is The Rock because just like the man, my lamb is tremendously muscular and strong. The Rock is a short and stockier built lamb. He is definitely smaller, weighing approximately 130 pounds, but he has a lot to offer in terms of muscle shape and overall power. I have had a lot of fun this year and The Rock is definitely one of my favorite lambs I have ever had. While I had a lot of fun, it has also been a lot of hard work. Right from the start my lamb decided jumping over me was a fun idea, so training him took a lot of practice. As a freshman in high school, I have been busy juggling sports, FFA, FBLA, and other outside of school activities and I have learned a lot of responsibility and time management.
