Hello, my name is Katie Parady, Im 16 years old and have been showing lambs since I was 9 Years old. I was in 4-H for 5 years and this is my 3rd year in Susanville FFA. I was born and raised on a cattle/hay ranch in Northern California which is where I found my love and knowledge for animals. I work at a local veterinary clinic, Lassen veterinary hospital, and I have been for 3 years now, I started volunteering there when I was 13 and now I have a great job with amazing staff, I enjoy working with animals and learning more and more there with the different animal cases we get everyday. I play softball and basketball and have been on travel teams and league teams since I was in 3rd grade and now Im a varsity player for both sports at Lassen High school. I wish to go to college in Texas and go to veterinary school there. I am into many outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, camping, and working cattle. Another thing Ive enjoyed doing the last 8 years is a breeding ewe project. Its been fun watching these lambs grow up. This year I have a couple of exceptional lambs for the Lassen County Fair that I worked hard with. Ive spent many hours working with these lambs making them the best that they can be.
