Hi, my name is Hunter Smith. I recently graduated from Lassen High School and have spent the last 4 years in FFA, Ag Mechanics and shooting Trap for the Lassen High School Trap Team. This year I have raised a market lamb and hope to do one more next year before my time is up. I will be attending Lassen Community College this fall for a full load of welding technology classes in pursuit of an associates degree. After I graduate from Lassen Community College with my associates degree I plan to apply for California Fish and Game and become a Game Warden. The money from the sale this year will help to pay for my college tuition, books, and even gas to get to town every morning. I have many hobbies ranging from hunting, fishing, trap shooting and showing lambs through FFA. The lamb I raised this year is named Bull, because hes a bull to say the least. But he has been one of the best lambs I have ever raised. I have spent many hours in the pen with Bull working with him. He loves his grain so that has helped me in the training process. When I am not working with Bull, hunting/ fishing you will normally find me working either at home or out on the ranch. I really enjoy running cattle, branding and even just mending fence. It is hard work and I find it very satisfying.
